Fantasy Baseball Trade Advice - Three players for Bautista?
The biggest thing to consider here is whether you're winning right now with the players you have. If your winning and in position to make the playoffs, I would definitely keep Bautista. My moto is to "never trade a player away if you might regret it later" and I think you will regret it when he finishes the season with the most HRs. Wright is a decent option at 3B, but the Mets are going to be making alot of changes to their line-up before the trade deadline and it could affect his numbers. Jimenez has been struggling for a while now. His struggles started in the second half of the season last year and if you're going to trade a stud like Bautista it shouldn't be for a guy you hope will get better, it should be for a guy who is already a stud. Papelbon is pitching better lately, but I don't pay much attention to closers in trades. There are always cheap ways to find saves as the season progresses. Just like Sergio Santos and Mark Meloncan have emerged as new closers this year, even more new closers will emerge around the trade deadline. So, if you're winning, stick with Bautista. If your in last or something, you might as well mix it up a little and try trading him.
